The original Mill was built in 1780 by Ezekiel Pease right next to the waterfall. It burned in 1900 and was rebuilt, but a story shorter. In 1936 it was rebuilt again to it’s pre-conflagration configuration, which was probably larger than Pease’ original structure. In addition to it’s setting by the falls and exterior charm, the Mill functions of one of many very few water powered operating grist mills and also contains a remarkable collection of period tools and machinery.
Weston Mill Museum, is open for tours on Wednesdays and weekends during the warmer months, on a few select dates and by chance through the rest of the year, and is a great place for photography spcifcly around  snowfall. (and great for picnicking).
