Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle was built at the second half of the
19th-century it was designed to be a Romanesque Revival palace and was
chosen to be built on a rocky hill right above the village of
Hohenschwangau (Southwest Bavaria) in Germany.
Ludwig II of Bavaria wanted this palace as a retreat and as a homage to
Richard Wagner. Neuschwanstein Castle was opened to the public right
after Ludwig’s death in 1886. It is one of the main
inspiration-castle for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.
