Longleat is an
English “great country house” – as in large and stately residence, it is
located about two hours drive (to the south west) from
London, England. Longleat was rebuilt after a fire in
the late 16th century and is currently occupied by Alexander Thynn, 7th
Marquess of Bath, who is a direct descendant of the builder.
Longleat is maybe best known for its outdoor garden hedge maze, in which all the walls of the passages are actually vertical hedges.
